Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age” (Matthew 28: 18-20).
For all of us, our journey of faith begins with the Sacrament of Baptism. Baptism forms the basis of the Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other Sacraments.

Presenting a child for Baptism is a serious obligation and requires a faith commitment on the part of the parents and godparents. This commitment is exemplified by being practicing, active Catholics for at least six (6) months at St. Mary, Mother of Mercy parish.

If you have just moved to the Parish, a letter from your previous pastor verifying the same is acceptable.
Attendance at a Baptismal Preparation session is required.
